About the IULCF

Since 1996, the IULCF (University Institute of French Language and Culture), which forms part of the ICT, has welcomed students from across the globe to Toulouse, France.

Our immersive language programme offers a dynamic learning environment and the opportunity to improve your French language skills with a dedicated team.

Do you want to learn French or improve your French language skills?

The IULCF offers intensive French courses throughout the year, including summer sessions.

Each course includes:

Practical grammar exercises
Reading and writing activities
Listening and speaking activities (with audio and video materials)
Vocabulary building activities

We also offer a wide range of activities: simulations, role-plays, debates, exhibitions, etc. At the end of your stay you will receive a certificate of attendance and a personal progress report. Please note that we also have a specific curriculum for Erasmus+ students studying at the ICT.

Cultural Immersion and Enrichment in Toulouse

The cultural activities offered in the afternoons and evenings in Toulouse enrich the learning of French by offering total immersion in the local language and culture. They allow students to practise French in real-life situations, discover the city’s rich history and culture and strengthen links with other students. These activities complement the courses and offer a more complete and lively learning experience.

Activities include student breakfasts, film and theatre screenings, guided tours of the ICT museum and library, exhibitions, academic and philosophical conferences, joint educational projects with ICT French students and cultural and gastronomic outings around the city.

The IULCF accomodation offer

The IULCF works in partnership with the AcTIF association (non-profit-making, law 1901), which specialises in hosting French and foreign students in Toulouse and offers accommodation with families as well as cultural and linguistic immersion. It has a large network of people ready to welcome you into their homes in a friendly and caring way. AcTIF selects the host family, puts you in touch with them and provides support throughout your study stay.
